About jadx

jadx is an open source decompiler that converts Android DEX bytecode into Java source code. It is distributed as command-line and GUI tools and is documented in its GitHub repository. It accepts APK, DEX, AAB, APKS, APKM, XAPK and ZIP files, as well as Java bytecode (JAR, class, AAR) and smali files. It can also decode AndroidManifest.xml and other resources.

The project states that in most cases jadx cannot decompile 100% of the code, so errors will occur. A Troubleshooting guide is available for workarounds. The GUI version requires 64-bit Java 11 or later, except for the with-jre bundle.
