M3Unator
M3Unator creates M3U and M3U8 playlists based on files found in web directory listings.

About M3Unator
M3Unator is an open source userscript that creates M3U and M3U8 playlists from public web server directory listings. It detects supported listing pages, scans video and audio files, can follow subdirectories when asked, and exports playlist files for common media players and IPTV tools. The project describes classic server index pages from servers such as Apache, Nginx, IIS, and Caddy as the intended targets.
It runs in the browser through a userscript manager, and the project states that it does not upload scanned links or playlists to a remote service. It only works on supported directory listing pages, so ordinary web pages are not affected. Pricing is unknown.
Key features
- Exports Extended M3U (.m3u) and UTF-8 .m3u8 playlist files
- Optional group-title metadata using manual text or first-folder grouping
- Recursive scanning with a custom depth from 1 to 99 levels
- Lets you include video files, audio files, or both in a playlist
- Adaptive parallel scanning with normal and aggressive performance modes
- Pause, resume, and cancel controls with live scan counters
- Runs locally in the browser and, according to the project, does not upload scanned links or playlists to a remote service.
- Designed for listings from Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, Lighttpd, IIS, and Caddy, and similar layouts with enough structural signals.
- Open source, with the code published in a public GitHub repository.
- Works only on supported directory listing pages; the launcher does not appear on other pages.
- Requires a userscript manager such as Tampermonkey (recommended) or Violentmonkey.
