meta-tags is an open-source gem for Ruby on Rails applications to render HTML head metadata, including titles, descriptions, canonical links, robots directives, Open Graph tags, X card tags, and hreflang links. It uses display_meta_tags in layouts and set_meta_tags or helper methods in controllers and views, with an optional initializer for truncation and rendering options.
It requires Ruby 3.0 or later and Rails 6.1 or later. It does not generate structured data / JSON-LD, robots.txt, sitemaps, internal links, or page content.
