About Poedit
Poedit is an open source translation editor for gettext PO files, XLIFF, Qt, JSON, and other localization formats. It helps translate applications into another language and works as a graphical front end to several GNU gettext utilities. It also includes a catalog editor and a source code parser.
Prebuilt binaries for Windows and macOS are available from poedit.com. Official Linux binaries are provided as a Snap, and most Linux distributions include native packages. Building from source requires dependencies such as Boost, wxWidgets, ICU, and LucenePlusPlus. On Windows, the source checkout requires Developer Mode to be enabled for symlinks. Some capabilities, such as Crowdin integration and improved language autodetection, depend on optional libraries at build time.
