ProperTree FAQ

What is the difference between OC Snapshot and OC Clean Snapshot?
Both update ACPI -> Add, Kernel -> Add, Misc -> Tools, and UEFI -> Drivers from the ACPI, Kexts, Tools, and Drivers folders. OC Clean Snapshot first clears those four sections and adds everything anew, while regular OC Snapshot starts from the current document and only adds and removes entries as needed.
When should I use an OC Clean Snapshot vs an OC Snapshot?
Use OC Clean Snapshot typically only the first time you snapshot to remove sample entries and add entries anew. Use regular OC Snapshot for subsequent snapshots to preserve customizations.
What can I do if I cannot click anything on macOS Sonoma 14.x and newer?
The source links this to Python 3.11.x and older with Tk on macOS. Updating to at least Python 3.12.0 appears to fix it. If Python cannot be updated, moving the window around before clicking elements in the treeview may help.
