About songs-to-youtube
songs-to-youtube is a desktop application that converts audio files into video files and uploads them to YouTube. It extracts album covers and other metadata from audio files and can use that metadata in template strings for video titles and descriptions. Songs can be concatenated into a single video for an album, or an album can be uploaded as a playlist of separate videos. The audio is not re-encoded before upload.
The project does not use the official YouTube API. The source states that it can upload up to 50-100 videos per day. Converting songs requires FFmpeg 6.1 or later, and uploading requires Firefox with geckodriver or Chrome with chromedriver, both available in the system PATH. Before uploading, the user must sign in to a YouTube account within the application. On first run, some users may be asked to install a certificate for a proxy tool.
