About Spritefusion Pixel Snapper

Spritefusion Pixel Snapper aligns pixel art to a consistent grid and ties colors to a quantized palette. It addresses uneven pixel size and position and drifting grid resolution in AI-generated images.

The command-line tool accepts a PNG or JPEG file or a directory for batch processing and writes PNG output, with palette size defaulting to 16 colors, optional pixel-size override, and optional custom hex palette. It can be installed via Brew or Cargo, built from source, used as a WASM module, and is also listed with online and desktop editions.

Key features

  • Snaps input pixels to consistent grid with auto-detected pixel size
  • Quantizes colors to palette, defaults to 16 colors
  • Supports custom palette via comma-separated six-digit hex colors
  • Processes single PNG/JPEG file or directory batch
  • Allows manual pixel-size override within supported range
  • Available as CLI, online version, desktop edition, and WASM module
Best for: People preparing AI-generated pixel art, procedural 2D art, tilemaps, and game textures that need grid-aligned output.
