About Adblock DNS Server

Adblock DNS Server is a Docker-based project that runs a DNS server using Bancuh DNS and dnsdist-acme. It functions like a regular DNS server but returns an unroutable IP address for known ad domains, and can also block tracking servers, malware sites, and adult content. It includes a preloaded blocklist compiled from multiple host file sources, with scripts provided to customize the list.

It requires a Linux server with Docker Compose v2, SSH access, and port 53 available, with additional ports for DNS over TLS, DNS over HTTPS, and Let's Encrypt when TLS is enabled. A VPS with a public static IP is recommended for shared use, while a local Linux computer or virtual machine can be used for testing.
