About Desktop App

vibra is a C++ library and command-line tool for music recognition using the unofficial Shazam API. It analyzes audio files, generates fingerprints, and queries Shazam's database to identify songs. It supports Linux, Windows, and macOS, with versions for WebAssembly, Python, and other languages through a C ABI. It handles WAV files natively and other formats such as MP3 and FLAC when FFmpeg is installed, and its fingerprints can be matched through Apple's ShazamKit SDK.

  • Recognize songs by querying Shazam database via CLI
  • Native WAV support with optional FFmpeg for MP3, FLAC
  • Fingerprints compatible with Apple ShazamKit SDK
  • Python package via ctypes and JavaScript via WebAssembly
  • Public C ABI for iOS, Android and other languages
Best for: Developers building music recognition into desktop, server, embedded, Python, or web-based projects.
