About SpotX
SpotX is an open-source patcher for the official Spotify desktop client on Windows 7–11. It blocks banner, video, and audio ads, can hide podcasts, episodes, audiobooks and ad-like sections, disables analytics sending, and can block automatic updates.
It requires PowerShell 5.1 and above and does not work with the Microsoft Store version of Spotify. Installation uses batch files or PowerShell commands, and removal uses Uninstall.bat or reinstalling Spotify. The project states it modifies the official client and is provided as an evaluation version for use at own risk.
