Kotify FAQ

How does Kotify access a Spotify account?
It uses Spotify's web API and requests permission via OAuth in a web browser. The Spotify password is not given to Kotify, and access can be removed on Spotify's Manage Apps page.
Can Kotify play music by itself?
No. It cannot directly play music from Spotify and requires Spotify's client or another device, like a phone, running in the background.
Is Kotify stable for daily use?
No. It is an early alpha at version 0.1.0, development is on hold, performance issues and bugs are expected, and migration of data such as ratings between releases is not guaranteed.
