The project lists prebuilt binaries for Linux and OSX and can also be built with make.

gorss FAQ

How do I run gorss?
Run the gorss_linux or gorss_osx binary from the release tarballs. You can specify files manually, for example: ./gorss -config gorss.conf -theme default.theme -db mydb.db
Where are the configuration and database stored?
If not specified, it uses $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/gorss/gorss.conf and $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/gorss/themes/default.theme, created from defaults if missing. The gorss.db database is created in the system Data Home directory, or another file can be set with -db.
How do I add feeds?
Add feed URLs to the feeds list in gorss.conf, or set OPMLFile in gorss.conf to load feed URLs from an OPML file.
