MIRAGE is developing an institutional medical image repository with tools for online image retrieval at Middlesex University.
About MIRAGE
MIRAGE is a start-up project at Middlesex University developing an institutional warehouse of medical images with online retrieval tools. Funded by JISC, it uses a content-based image retrieval archiving environment built on GNU GFIT, a platform adapted for archiving medical images.
It is intended to complement the university's OASISplus system, also known as Blackboard Vista. An external-facing database is listed at image.mdx.ac.uk, with further information available from Dr. Xiaohong Gao and a final project report dated Dec. 2010.
