About Unwanted Twitch

Unwanted Twitch is a browser extension that hides selected streams, games, categories, channels, and tags on twitch.tv. It adds "X" buttons to supported listings, and can also hide reruns, filter streams by title, and use pattern matching or regular expressions. Blacklists can be shared with import/export and optionally synced between devices after opt-in.

It filters pages including Browse, game pages, Frontpage/Discover, Explore, Following, and the sidebar, though the preview slider and carousel are not filtered and blacklisted content remains accessible by direct link. The project is in maintenance mode with no new features planned, and filtering can stop working temporarily when Twitch changes its site.

Unwanted Twitch FAQ

What is the maximum number of items I can block?
About 30,000 items when using cloud synchronization and about 200,000 items when using local storage. Performance may degrade before those limits, and lists over 50,000 items are not generally optimized for.
Why are there no X buttons visible?
Restart the browser after first install or hard-refresh Twitch tabs, check that Show "X" Buttons is enabled, and confirm the page is supported. The sidebar has filtering only and no X buttons.
Why does a channel still appear after I blocked one of its tags?
Twitch limits visible tags in directory views. The extension can only filter what it can see on the page, so tags visible only on the channel page or added after load are not filtered.
