This repository contains plugins for Umi-OCR, including components that add OCR engines.

About Alt Engines
Alt Engines is the Umi-OCR_plugins repository for the open source Umi-OCR software. It stores plugins that add OCR engines to Umi-OCR version 2 and above. Plugins are added by placing extracted files in the UmiOCR-data/plugins folder.
You can download plugin archives from Releases and choose engines for different needs. Options include PaddleOCR-json for Windows and Linux, RapidOCR-json, Pix2Text, TesseractOCR, ChineseOCR, WeChat OCR, and a Mistral AI OCR API plugin. Most plugins run locally on CPU, while the Mistral plugin uses cloud API calls. Language coverage varies by plugin and includes Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and math formulas.
It suits Umi-OCR users on Windows 7 64-bit or later and Linux x64 who need additional engines. It is also for developers who want plugin development documentation and a demo to build their own components.
