About Amethyst Mod Manager

Amethyst Mod Manager is an open source mod manager for Linux, written in Python. It uses an interface modeled on Mod Organizer 2 and is aimed at users who install and manage mods for PC games on Linux. The homepage says it supports almost 100 games, including Bethesda titles, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, Stardew Valley, RE Engine titles, BepInEx games, and many Unreal Engine 5 titles. The full list is in the project wiki.

The manager can install Nexus Collections and Wabbajack mod lists, and it includes in-app browsers for Nexus and Thunderstore. Some of these features depend on external services and accounts, such as a Nexus API key. The project is distributed as an AppImage, a Flatpak, and an AUR package. The homepage describes the Nexus API key as stored in the operating system keyring rather than a plain text file. The project's feature requests and pull requests are reviewed when the maintainer has time.
