About Background Remover
Background Remover is an OBS Studio plugin that uses a neural network to mask portrait subjects in images and video so the background can be removed and replaced during recording or streaming. It can be combined with other OBS plugins to use an image or transparent color as the replacement, and it also supports low-light scene enhancement.
CPU thread count is adjustable in the settings, and GPU acceleration depends on platform and build. On Mac, mismatched Intel and Apple Silicon binaries under Rosetta2 will crash, and official build-from-source support is listed for Debian Forky on x86_64 and arm64.
