Blossom
Blossom specifies HTTP endpoints for storing blobs on media servers using Nostr public and private keys for identity.

About Blossom
Blossom is a specification for HTTP endpoints that allow users to store blobs of data on publicly accessible servers. It uses Nostr public and private keys for user identity, and addresses blobs by their SHA-256 hash.
Additional behavior is defined in Blossom Upgrade Documents (BUDs), which describe features a server may implement, including upload, retrieval, deletion, mirroring, media optimization, and authorization. Capabilities therefore vary by server.
Key features
- Store blobs addressed by SHA-256 hash on public servers
- Identify users with Nostr public and private keys
- Upload blobs via PUT /upload endpoint
- Delete blobs via DELETE / endpoint
- Mirror blobs to other servers via PUT /mirror
- Track user servers with Nostr kind 10063 events
- Public domain specification with open source repository
- Uses existing Nostr keys for user identity
- Additional features depend on which BUDs a server implements
- Blob listing endpoint is marked as unrecommended
