It reads keymapper.conf from $XDG_CONFIG_HOME and $HOME/.config on all systems, plus /etc on Linux, MacOS and FreeBSD, profile and AppData folders on Windows, each with an optional keymapper subdirectory, and finally the working directory, unless overridden with -c.
