About Stats

Stats is an open-source application that monitors macOS system activity from the menu bar. Stats FAQ

Why do Stats icons not appear in the menu bar?
On macOS 26, apps must be allowed under System Settings → Menu Bar. Open System Settings → Menu Bar and toggle Stats ON while at least one module and widget are enabled.
Why does the Wi-Fi network name show as Unknown?
macOS requires Location Services permission to read it. Enable Location Services, turn Stats ON there, then quit and reopen Stats.
How can I reduce Stats CPU usage or energy impact?
Disable some modules. The Sensors and Bluetooth modules are described as the most inefficient to run.
