About bin
bin is an open source, cross-platform tool for downloading, installing and managing single-file binaries in user directories without root privileges. It supports GitHub Releases, GitLab Releases, Codeberg Releases, Docker images, HTTP releases and Go installs, with commands to install, list, update, remove, pin, unpin, ensure and prune binaries. By default the GitHub provider only uses the latest non-prerelease, non-draft release sorted by commit date. GitLab use requires an access token, and automatic package matching can fail and require manual selection.
