About noise-suppression-for-voice

This is a real-time noise suppression plugin for voice based on Xiph's RNNoise. It is provided in VST2, VST3, LV2, LADSPA, AU and AUv3 formats and includes a minimalistic GUI with parameters and diagnostic stats.

It offers VAD Threshold and grace-period controls to silence sounds unlikely to be voice. It works with one or more channels of 16-bit, 48000 Hz audio only, does not improve quality from a bad microphone, and only reduces loud noises when voice is present.

noise-suppression-for-voice FAQ

What sample rate does the plugin require?
It works with 16-bit, 48000 Hz audio input. Use only 48000 Hz and force the audio source to 48000 Hz if it is not.
What VAD Threshold value should I use?
In most cases a threshold between 85% and 95% would be fine.
Will it fix poor quality from a bad microphone?
No. It cannot improve voice quality with a bad microphone and may make it worse by misclassifying voice as noise.
